Bloodstone Tumblestone

Bloodstone, sometimes referred to as Heliotrope, is a dark green stone with flecks of red caused by the presence of iron oxide. As its name suggests it is associated with the blood and is believed to be an excellent blood purifier. In addition it is said to help clear toxin from the body, benefiting the liver, kidneys and bladder, and to strengthen the heart and the circulation. Bloodstone can also be a powerful aid to revitalisation when the body and mind are exhausted.

Bloodstone is a strong grounding and protecting stone and is believed to promote love and understanding between friends, resulting in the building of solid friendships.

Placing Bloodstone in a bowl of water beside the bed is said to ensure peaceful sleep.
